William H. Hannert, of Port Washington, passed away on March 25, 2014, at the age of 92 years. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014, 1PM at the Mueller Funeral Home, in Grafton, followed by military honors. The family will receive friends, on Saturday, from 11AM until 1PM. Memorials of your choice are appreciated. William was born on January 14, 1922, in Silver Creek, Wisconsin, the son of the late Herbert H. Hannert and the late Eleanora (nee Goehring) Hannert. He was inducted into the United States Army, in July, of 1943, and served his country during WWII. Shortly after his honorable discharge from the Army, William was united in marriage to Doreen Aderman, on October 19, 1946, in Plymouth. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Gary, Sharon, and Karen. William was the owner and operator of Hannert Construction for over 40 years, working as a master carpenter and craftsman. William is survived by his beloved wife, Doreen Hannert, of Port Washington; children, Gary (Jenny) Hannert, of Saukville, Sharon (fiancé Robin Stibbe) Remmert, of Grafton, and Karen (Gerard) Gleissner, of Grafton; grandchildren, Christopher (Sue) Hannert, Jeremy (Kendra) Hannert, Tracie Isaacson, Michael Remmert, Jennifer (Craig) Wenger, and William “B.J.” (Cheryl) Heiden; brother, Col. Richard Hannert; and sister-in-law, Shirley (Robert) Hoegger. He is further survived by 9 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
