William "Bill" F. Bruce

William “Bill” Bruce,

Of Grafton, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2024, surrounded by his family at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. He was born on September 7, 1947, to his late parents, Donald Bruce and Dorothy (nee Christiansin). He was united in marriage to Gloria (nee Groth) on July 23, 1966, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Together, their marriage was blessed with three children, Paul, Jill, and Leann.

Bill was drafted into the United States Army in 1968, where he spent his time in Vietnam. Since Bill was colorblind, he was assigned to delivering mail by helicopter in South Vietnam where he also obtained a Bronze Star with helping the wounded. When Bill came back home, he fixed up his house in Grafton with his wife, Gloria. Together, they loved to travel. They have been to multiple states, like Oregon and Hawaii. But Bill’s favorite hobby was spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria and children, Paul, Jill, and Leann Sturdevant. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Melanie Sturdevant and many friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dorothy.
