William B. Norman

William was born in Clintonville, WI on July 5, 1925, the son of the late Julius and Margaret (nee Freeborn) Norman. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1945, and was discharged from the Air Force Reserves in 1955 with the rank of 1st Lieutenant. William married Joan McMillan on February 26, 1955, in Des Moines, IA. They lived in Iowa for a year before moving to Shorewood, WI, and later moved to Cedarburg in March of 1957. An avid outdoors man, William loved to hunt pheasant with his trusty dog, Shadow. His favorite pheasant hunting stories came out of Iowa. William also loved to hunt deer and go fishing. He was an avid golfer. William was also a bowler and played bridge. He played couples bridge in his later years. William worked for Columbian Artworks, later called Colart, for 27 years. Afterward he was self-employed selling paper products to banks, and he was still working until last year. William is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children Brad (Teri) Norman of De Pere and Tracy (Don) Bergin of Cedarburg; grandchildren Ryan (Rebecca) Norman of Hampton, VA, Kyle (Sara) Norman of Green Bay, Daniel Bergen of Cedarburg and Bradley Bergin of Cedarburg; great-grandchildren Liam Norman of Hampton, VA, and Ava Norman of Green Bay; brothers Robert Norman of Arizona and Jack Norman of Alabama; sister-in-law Hazel Norman of Appleton; and brother-in-law of Herb Coleman of California. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by brother Larry Norman and sister Ruth Coleman. Memorials: Memorials to Crossroads Church or the Cedarburg Fire Department appreciated. Visitation: 9AM to 11AM at Crossroads Presbyterian Church 6301 W.
