Walter F. Peuschel

Peuschel, Walter F. 85, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at his home in Mequon where he was born and lived his entire life following complications from a stroke. Beloved husband of Hildegard Nee Deede for 55 years. Loving father of three daughters and sons-in-law; Carol Ron Ernst, Sandy Rick Haendel and Judy Bob Guse. He was a very special grandpa to MeLissa Mike Wieting, Scott Tracy Ernst, Brenda Ernst special friend Steve Schieble and great-grandpa to Faith, Emma and Brett Wieting. Further survived by 3 step-grandchildren; Jamie, Jackie and Brett Haendel of Phoenix and Ling Lin. He will also be dearly missed by other relatives and many friends. Walter was born on February 1, 1920 to Arthur and Hattie Peuschel. On October 22, 1949, Walter married Hildegard Deede of Suring and together they farmed, milked cows, and raised and boarded many animals. Also, Walter served as animal control officer for many communities in Ozaukee County. Life was a complete circle for Walter as he died in the same house that he was born in and lived his entire life. He took great pride in maintaining his farm and yearly loved planting with his wife the many flowers that outlined their garden. His farm was used often as a backdrop for advertisement photo shots. Walter loved spending time with friends and staying active. Some of Walter’s greatest enjoyments included spending time with this children and grandchildren, polka dances every Sunday member of the Wisconsin Polka Boosters and I love the dance club, lively sheepshead games with friends, and selling pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch. Visitors were always welcome at his house to pull up a chair at the kitchen table, listen to a polka on the radio and chat. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Clara Schreiber. Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 19, 11:00 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church, 247 S. Main St. Thiensville. Interment will be at Opitz Cemetery in Mequon. The Peuschel family will receive relatives and friends at the church Friday March 18, 4-7 PM and at the church on Sat. March 19, 9:30 AM until time of service. Rev. Don Scheuerlein officiating.
