Violet "Vi" A. Schuette

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 6:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N. Green Bay Road, Grafton for longtime resident of Grafton Violet “Vi” A. Schuette who died on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00pm to 5:45pm. Rev. Curt Leonard will be officiating. Private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials to the charity of your choice appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at Lasata Care Center for their love and care of Vi. Vi was born in Starkwethel, North Dakota on February 19, 1925, the daughter of the late George and Irene (nee Wick) Schmitz. Violet was united in marriage to Kenneth Schuette and they were blessed with 5 children. Vi had many hobbies like gardening, sewing and cross-stitching. She was an excellent baker and cook. Her “peanut squares” were the best around and when she cooked or baked, it was always homemade. Vi loved her family dearly and she was the happiest being a wife, mom and grandmother. Violet loved her Lord tremendously. Vi is survived by her children, Barbara (the late Larry) Bogart, the late Gary (Dennine) Schuette, Stephen (Gail) Schuette, Patricia (Jeff) Paine and John (Victoria) Schuette, grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Bogart, Jodi Green, Caitlyn Gerth, Austin Schuette, Samuel and Jacob Schuette and Danielle Skakle, great-grandchildren, Ethan and Liam Gerth, sister, Martha (the late Harold) Nickle, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 54 years, Kenneth, son, Gary and her siblings, Ruth McDonald and George Schmitz.
