A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 12NOON, at St. Joseph\'s Catholic Church (1619 Washington St.), Grafton, for Victoria Urban (nee Evanovich) who died on November 6, 2008, at the age of 90 years. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grafton Public Library would be appreciated. Victoria was born on December 5, 1917, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, toPeter andMagdelene Evanovich. She was the youngest of three daughters. Victoria and her family relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Victoria attended school, graduating from West Division High School. After graduation, Victoria enjoyed aprofessional career asan obstetrician/gynecologist\'s assistant/office manager. On June 5, 1948, Victoria married Terry Urban. They welcomedthree daughters into their lives and were lucky enough to be married for53 years, living in Milwaukee, Port Washington, Grafton (where they spent the majority of their married life) and finally settling in Cedarburg.. Two grandsonsblessed their lives. Victoriawas afull-time homemaker. She was well known for her fantastic cooking as well as her abilities as a seamstress.She also was an excellent knitter and could crochet with the best. In addition, she was extremely crafty, making candles, candy wreaths and dolls, and shedelighted everyone with her delicious homemade candies and cookies at holiday time. Playing cards was a favoritepasttime,but Victoria and Terry also realized they loved to dance. They began their dancing years by taking ballroon dancing but eventually found their way to square-dancing and round-dancing, which they were passionate about. Some of their fondest memories were spent on the dance floor. Terry diedon November 17, 2001,and Victoria eventually moved to Cedar Gardens, a placewhere she developedwonderful friendships whichgreatly enriched herfinal years. Victoria is survived by her loving children, Kathy Urban, Vicki (Nick) Leifeld, and Wendy (Gregg) McManners; her two grandchildren whom shecherished, Justin Leifeld and Kyle McManners; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
