Victor S. Polum

Polum, Victor S. of Cedarburg, died peacefully, surrounded by his family at New Perspective of West Bend, WI on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the age of 86. Victor was born in Mill Creek, WI on May 31, 1931 the son of the late Steve and Alvinia (Nee Trizinski) Polum. Victor served in the United States Army from February 7, 1952 – Janurary 20, 1954. On May 31, 1958, Victor was united in marriage to Theresa “Terri” (Nee Mallek) in Junction City, WI. Victor enjoyed the outdoors; Hunting: Deer, Elk, Bear and also fishing. Victor also loved gardening and spending time in his yard. His family always requested his famous zucchini bread. Victor also enjoyed spending time up north whether at his own retreat or at others. Victors greatest joy was spending time with his wife and family. Victor is survived by his wife of 59 years, Terri; his four children: Karen (Paul) Hable, Tom (Janet) Polum, Dennis (Michelle) Polum and Bernie (Tracy) Polum; Grandchildren: Dan (Bridget) Hable, Joe Hable, Kristine (Dan) Robson, Kimberly (Alexx) Polum, Kyle (Alexis) Polum, Trevor Polum, Chelsea Polum, Ashley Polum and Jacob Polum; Proud Papa to Michael Hable, Crosby Robson and two great grandchildren arriving soon; siblings: Vince (Dorothy) Polum, Richard (Pat) Polum, Alice (Don) Young, Bob (Judi) Polum, Irene (Dennis) Lepper, David Polum; Sister-in-laws: Pauline Polum, Bev Polum, brother-in-laws: Ray Mallek and Bill (Rose) Mallek. Victor was preceded in death by Brothers: Paul (Marion) Polum, Ben Polum, Tony (Sophie) Polum, Steve (Mary Jane) Polum, Sylvester Polum, Emil (Pat) Polum, Ed Polum; brother-in-law: Len (Wanda) Mallek and sister-in-law Diane Mallek; and his beloved dog “Sadie”. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 – 1:00 PM at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church (1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg, WI) with Military Honors to follow. Fr. Jerry Repenshek officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church from 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM. Memorials of your choice are appreciated.
