Verna L. Schmidt

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 6:30 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Saukville for Verna Louise Schmidt (nee Heim) of Saukville, who passed away peacefully at Ellens Home of Port Washington on March 18, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 4 PM until time of service. Interment will be held at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Saukville on Wednesday March 24, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Verna was born in Flat Rock, MI on August 6, 1919 to the late Frederick J. and Anne C. (nee Burkard) Heim. Verna was united in marriage to her late husband Arthur E. Schmidt on October 14, 1939. Verna was a member of the Landt Thiel Legion Auxiliary of Saukville; Immaculate Conception Christian Mothers and a member of the Royal Neighbors. Vernas favorite pastimes included: knitting, sewing, gardening and fishing in St. Germain, WI. Verna is survived by her children: Judie (Ray) Jacoby of Fredonia, Donna (Matt) DAngelo of Saukville, Arthur Butch (Marlene) Schmidt of Fredonia and Pat (Dan) Palkovic of Grafton. Verna is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Art Heim.
