Timothy J. Stephens

Timothy Jay Stephens, 61, peacefully lost his hard fought battle to cancer at 12:20am on January 19th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Timothy was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 23rd of 1955 to Janice and the late Harold Stephens. He was a graduate of Grafton High School and went on to pursue and prosper in his career as a toolmaker. Tim married the love of his life, Joan, in 1981. Their marriage was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Megan and Jenna, whom he was very close with and immensely proud of. During their 35 year marriage, Tim & Joan worked hard to build a beautiful life together. They spent countless weekends at their home away from home on Legend Lake where they enjoyed boating, campfires, and spending time with family and friends. Tim was a skilled tradesman and woodworker who loved a good project. He enjoyed spending time in his workshop and using his hands and vast tool collection to repair, remodel and build. He could build just about anything and fix everything. Timothy is survived by his wonderful wife, Joan (nee Vosburg) Stephens, his daughters Megan White and Jenna Klumb, and two of his favorite guys, his sons-in-law Andrew White and Andy Klumb. He often commented on how pleased he was with these two fine men joining his family. He was further survived by his mother, Janice (nee Hintz) Stephens, brother Todd (Marla) Stephens, sister Tracy Pata, many nieces and nephews, and extended family whom he thought of often. Tim was a dedicated family man who was fiercely protective of his wife and children. He was a generous and kind man who touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a warm personality and an infectious sense of humor. He will be terribly missed and leaves a giant hole in the hearts of those who love him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Melanoma Foundation are appreciated.
