Thomas J. Mullins

Thomas J. Mullins, of Saukville, passed away on September 5, 2018, at the age of 82. Loving father of Ann (John Bulka) Mullins Bulka, Amy (Michael) Dourisboure Mullins and Sally (Tim) Larsen. Survived by dear brothers Robert (Carol) Mullins of Ypsilanti, MI, and Allen (Hope) Mullins of Saukville; sister-in-law, Wanda Mullins of Lansing, MI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and an extensive network of devoted friends. Proceeded in death by beloved wife, Ruth (nee Streff), in 2006. He is the fourth of six Irish sons born to the late Dennis and Florence (nee Flarherty) Mullins. Also preceding Tom in death are brothers Michael, Gerald and Patrick Mullins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 3 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church (1619 Washington St.), Grafton. A gathering with refreshments will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saukville Community Food Pantry (saukvillefoodpantry.com), St. Joseph Parish (stjosephgrafton.org), St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org). Tom was always busy with family, work and hobbies. He retired from Simplicity Manufacturing in Port Washington after 47 years of service. He was a friendly face at Miller Park, the home of the Brewer’s, where he worked for 46 years (never missing a home game after he retired from his ‘day job’). Tom’s incredibly strong work ethic, deep faith, generous and abiding spirit, sense of wonder and awe inspired his family and friends – and they live on in the hearts and precious memories of all who knew him. A lifetime Wisconsin resident, Tom was born in Green Bay and grew up there and in the nearby areas of Stark, Lark and Bellvue – places where farm life and rural landscape instilled a love of nature. He moved to Saukville in his early 20s and met Ruth at Simplicity. They were married on July 22, 1961, at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville. Tom made friends everywhere he went, always broadening his circle. Many of his dearest friends he’d known for most of his life. He cherished them and the chance to meet new people and hear new stories. He was always available to lend a helping hand everywhere and anytime it was needed. Tom enjoyed traveling and was always up for an adventure, ready to drive to another neighborhood, state or across the country. He found joy in many things and loved sharing with the friends and family that loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.
