Obituary of Thomas J. Larson
Thomas John Larson of West Bend died peacefully at the age of 73 on Thursday, April 18th lovingly surrounded by his family while in the care of the wonderful caregivers at Serenity Villa in Slinger.
Tom loved to play cards, everything from Sheepshead to Skipbo. His next biggest passion was baseball and softball, especially being a part of grandchildren (Ava & Bennett) games, and watching the Brewers on TV. He held all family members dear to his heart. He worked as a Machinist for several companies, then decided to be self-employed as a Painter, then as a cross country on-time Sprinter van driver(which he loved doing). Tom also served his country when drafted into the Army in 1970.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 32 years JoAnn, Daughter Stacy(Jason)Thelen and grandchildren Ava and Bennett Thelen. He is further survived by his sisters Nancy(Ron) Nehring of Arizona, Vicki(Perry) Gornjak of Arkdale, brothers Michael(Kay) Larson, Kenneth(Mary) Larson and Ronald(Denise) Larson. His brother David Larson preceded him in death. He cherished all of his nieces and nephews.
A special thanks goes out to his niece, Tracy Ermer, for all of the guidance and support through this rough time and to the caregivers at Serenity Villa and Preceptor Hospice Care for the special care given to Tom.
We are planning a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 26th at the Lac Lawrann Maurin Center, 300 Schmidt Rd., West Bend from 11AM – 6PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.
