Sylvia Herther

Sylvia Herther, formerly of Cedarburg, passed away at Forest Haven Assisted Living Facility, in Fredonia, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the age of 89 years.

Sylvia was born on February 21, 1935, in Mequon, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Alvin Wendt and the late Clarinda (nee Hilgendorf) Wendt. She was united in marriage to Harold Herther on June 4, 1955, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Freistadt. Together their marriage was blessed with three children, David, Ralph, and Nancy.

Sylvia is survived by her children, David (Linda) Herther of Hartford, and Nancy (Shane) Kletzein of Port Washington, daughter-in-law, Debbie Herther of Grafton, grandchildren: Christie (Ryan) Shelvik, Amber (Brandon Ketelhut) Herther, Cassandra (Scott Rady) Kerr, Ashley (Nick) Gengler, Kevin Kletzein, and Mark (Emily Gehring) Herther; great-grandchildren, Hayley and Sawyer Herther, and sisters-in-law, Joyce Herther and Caroline Herther. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Herther and son, Ralph Herther.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, 3:00 PM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg, with Rev. Vince Putnam officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the Funeral Service at Immanuel Cemetery, in Cedarburg. In state Wednesday, at the church, from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Immanuel Lutheran Church, in memory of Sylvia Herther.
