A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 6:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church, Lakefield for Shirley E. Staats, 71, of Suring, WI formerly of Cedarburg who died on February 24, 2008 at Cedar Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center. Interment will be in Lakefield Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 4 PM until time of service. Memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated. She was united in marriage to the late Robert E. Staats on Oct. 19, 1957 at Concordia Avenue Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, WI. Shirley worked as a secretary for Levy & Levy for many years. Shirley is survived by her children Robert (Colleen) Staats and Amy (Alan) Tiegs; grandchildren Bobby and Brian Tiegs; Vivian and Lilly Staats; and step-grandchildren Spencer and Harrison Lucas.
