Shirley A. Even

Shirley A. Even (Nee Earsley) Of Mequon, formerly of Cedarburg, died peacefully surrounded by her family at Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus on the morning of April 7, 2018 at the age of 81. Shirley was born on February 23, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of the late Leonard Earsley and Roman and Sybella (Nee Loppnow) Leszczynski. Shirley was united in marriage to Franklin E. Even on October 24, 1959 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was a longtime employee of Square-D until the birth of her daughters. She later worked at the News Graphic where she eventually took information for an ad that lead to her employment as the office manager at Federal Tool, a position she held up until her retirement at the age of 65. Shirley was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling to the many State Bowling Association Tournaments over the course of 18 years where many memories were made with her dear friends. She was a lifelong member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Monticello Sno-mobile Club and the Rods-N-Relics Car Club where she and Frank proudly displayed their 1966 red Cadillac. Shirley is survived by her husband Franklin; Two daughters: Cheryl (Robert) Schenk and Judi Even; grandchildren: Trevor (Megan) Dennison, Taylor Schenk, Zachary (Kelsey) Schenk and Michaela Schenk; Great-Granddaughter Izabellah. Shirley is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her sister Beverly Monroe, her parents Roman and Sybella Leszczynski, and her in-laws Joseph and Hilda Even. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd. Cedarburg. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:15 PM, the funeral service will be at 1:30 PM and internment at Zur Ruhe Cemetery at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund are appreciated.
