Sandra Lee Monty of Grafton, passed away on Monday, August 13th at her Grafton home from a short battle with lung cancer, she was surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sandra was born in Manitowoc, WI., on September 25th 1943 the daughter of the late Elmer and Jean Smith. Sandra enjoyed the simple things in life. No matter the activity, her favorite moments were spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, from sitting in the back yard to dancing in her kitchen. Sandra will always be remembered by her children as fun, loving, and caring. Her children would say her favorite song was I Did It My Way by Elvis Presley. “ and she did do it her way.” Her children loved her with all there heart and soul and will cherish all there memories that were made. Sandra is survived by her husband of 47 years Ronald Monty, her children; Debra (Darrell) Dohrwardt of Saukville, Catherine (Mark) Jagelovicz of Sheboygan, Richard Sauer of Madison Ohio, William Sauer of Saukville , Jean Sternig of Grafton and Ronda (Bill Zahnow) Monty of Adell, 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brothers; Mark (Jane) Smith, Jeffrey (Jill) Smith, and Chris (Karen) Smith, special friend Kevin Houthuizen nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by, her son, Harold W. Sauer Jr, great-grandchild, Taylor Dohrwardt, sister, Victoria Smith, brother, Richard (the late Jill) Smith, and her parents Elmer and Jean Smith. Private services will be held by the family. Memorials in her name appreciated to the American Cancer Society or the Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee.
