Ruth Marie Meyer

Ruth Marie Meyer of Port Washington passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday August 5, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Ruth was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 27, 1926 to the late Henry & Marie (nee Briesemeister) Riedel and married the late Albert Meyer on June 1, 1946 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Port Washington. Ruth was a long time active member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Port Washington; she also was a hostess and waitress for 15 years at Smith Brothers Restaurant in Port Washington. She is survived by her children; Karen (Dennis) Hollander of New Port Richey, FL, Nanette (Larry) Keller of Port Washington, Barbara (Paul) Tegen of Fort Mill, SC, John (Goldie) Meyer of Cedarburg and the late William H. Meyer, 1 brother David (Darlene) Riedel of Denver, CO, 1 sister Rosemary (Paul) Weyker of Port Washington. She was preceded in death by 1 brother Earl Riedel. She is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday August 10, 6:30 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church 1802 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington. Interment St. Marys Catholic Church Port Washington. Visitation will be at the church Monday from 3:30 PM until time of mass. Memorials of your choice appreciated.
