Ruth A. Lee

Ruth A. Lee, of Cedarburg, went to her heavenly home, on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at the age of 77 years. She passed away at Lawlis Family Hospice, in Mequon, with her family near her side. Ruth was born in Neenah, WI, the daughter of the late George Pyott Jr. and the late Amanda (nee Pagel) Pyott. She attended grade school and high school in Neenah, and was crowned the homecoming queen, in 1955. After her graduation from Neenah High School, Ruth attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where she met the love of her life, Jim Lee. Ruth received her Bachelor of Science degree in both English and Art. Ruth was united in marriage to Jim Lee, on August 29, 1959, in Neenah. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Tracy and Brian. In 1973, Ruth and Jim decided to move their family to Cedarburg. They owned and operated Lee’s Plaster Corner, in Grafton, where they sold ceramics, and Ruth gave lessons on painting various art pieces. She had a great love for painting and artwork. Her pieces were bought and sold throughout the local businesses, in Cedarburg. Ruth could be found outside of their home, in Cedarburg, spending countless hours in her yard and in her garden. She had a great passion for the outdoors and beautifying their home. One of Ruth’s greatest joys was traveling with her husband, Jim, to Scotland and researching her ancestry as well as her heritage. She was very proud of her heritage, but her true love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Lee; children, Tracy (Tim) Costello and Brian Lee; grandchildren, Amanda Rush, Kyran Lee-Kelley, and Maylana Lee-Kelley; sister, Marcia (Roger) Kavanaugh; and best-friend of 72 years, Donna (Tom) Schinner. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many endearing friends. Ruth will be missed but never forgotten. A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 11AM at Advent Lutheran Church (W63 N642 Washington Ave.), in Cedarburg. The family will receive friends, on Saturday, at the church, from 9AM until 11AM. Inurnment will take place at Oakhill Cemetery, in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice are appreciated.
