Roy "Ripper - Rory" J. Wegner

Roy “Ripper-Rory” J. Wegner of Grafton passed away at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Roy was born in Grafton, WI on August 25, 1947 the son of the late Roy and Doris (Nee Wendtlandt) Wegner. Roy was a proud member of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He was very thankful to the VA and all the services they provided for him. He worked for many years at many of the local factories in the Port Washington area. His passion was golfing and working at Edgewater Golf Course for many years. Along with golf he was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. Meeting friends at Edgewater Golf Course and Willies Wish was a favorite pass time along with meeting his sisters every Saturday morning to visit and eat donuts. Roy is survived by his wife Sharon; Daughter Lindsey (Laurne Ling) Wegner; brother Chuck Wegner; Sisters: Beverly Wegner, Judy (William) Steinert and Kristi (Mike) Mullens. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his step daughter Debbie Domine, niece Kim and nephew Joel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 – 1:30 PM at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory 979 N. Green Bay Rd. Grafton. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 NOON – 1:15 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials of your choice are appreciated.
