Rosemary H. Hackett

Rosemary Helen Hackett, 86, of Brown Deer, WI, passed away on September 29, 2023.

Rosemary was born on May 24, 1937. She grew up in Green Bay, WI. She graduated from Green Bay East High School and attended Barry University in Miami, FL.

Rosemary loved her family; she loved being a mom and a “grandmama”.

Rosemary loved to cook and was really, really good at it! She frequently whipped up her special Chiuminatto and Hackett family recipes including the Christmas coffee cake. The recipe was passed down from mother to daughter originating from her great, great, great Italian grandmother. The recipe always produced one cake for the family and another for the family priest.

She loved her garden and named her home “Serenity”. Her garden filled the yard with beautiful colors that changed with the seasons.

Rosemary was a writer with a number of articles published.

She loved the Lord and especially our mother Mary. Rosemary commissioned a beautiful Adoration Chapel at Our Lady of Good Hope where everyone was welcome to pray 24 hours per day.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her former husband Patrick A Hackett, her mother Joanella Chiuminatto, her father Peter M. Chiuminatto and her beloved uncle, Rev. Lawrence Chiuminatto.

Rosemary is survived by her children; Kevin P Hackett, Laura M Hackett Knain (Matt), Michael P Hackett, and her grandson Sampson Hackett. She is further survived by her step-grandson Bradley M Knain (Merrill) and her two great grandchildren Josie and Kerrick. Rosemary is survived by her brother Mark Chiuminatto and sister Margaret Chiuminatto.
