Ronney E. Johnson

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 6:00PM at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg, for Ronney E. Johnson of Cedarburg, who died on March 8, 2010, at the age of 83. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 4:00PM until the time of service. Memorials to St. John Lutheran Church, Lakefield, Organ Fund appreciated. Ronney was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 21, 1926, to Albert & Louise (nee Aldon) Thaiss and raised by his adoptive parents Arvid E. and Angeline Johnson. Ronney married Karen (nee Fischer) on April 21, 1990, at Brookfield Assembly of God. Ronney received a Masters degree in Education from UWM. He retired from the Glendale School District after 37 years in 1987. Ronney was also Choir Director for St. John Lutheran Church, Lakefield for 18 years. He played classical violin with the Concord Chamber Orchestra and the Kettle Moraine Symphony. Ronney is survived by his wife Karen of Cedarburg; sons Mark Johnson of Nevada and Eric (Linda) Johnson of Princeton, WI; step-children Ann (Greg) Denk of Cedarburg and Andrew (Laura) Griswold of Cedarburg; grandchildren Denyelle (John) Koser of Saukville, Clinton Templeman of Green Lake, Aaron Adam Denk of Cedarburg, Caleb & Jesse Griswold of Cedarburg; great-grandchildren Kiana and Craig; brother Ron (Evonne) Schilling of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Charmaine Kruse of Madison and Sue Church of Phoenix, AZ; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Arlene (nee Behrens), sister Lillian Hooker and brother Bob Thais.
