Ronald “Ron” P. Block,
Of Grafton, peacefully passed away on April 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 78. Ron was born on May 22, 1945, to his late parents, Edward Block and Maxine (nee Liesch) in Milwaukee. He was united in marriage in Tampa, FL on February 16, 1968, with the late Doris (nee Lorentson). Together, their marriage was blessed with three children, Cynthia, Steve, and Robert.
After graduating from Custer High School in 1963, Ron immediately enlisted into the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Georgia. During his time in the military, Ron met the love of his life, Doris. Ron’s main career was working as a bus driver for Milwaukee County Transit System until retiring in 2002. Because of his military background, Ron belonged to the American Legion Rose-Harms Post 355, where he enjoyed helping and volunteering. You could always find Ron at the family property in Tigerton where he loved Trout fishing, hunting, and gardening. When he was at his home in Grafton, he loved watching the backyard for the many deer that would pay him a visit for his apples.
He is survived by his three children, Cynthia (David) Vande Leest, Steve (Shannon) Block, and Robert (Kelly) Block. Along with five grandchildren, Katelynn Vande Leest, Logan Block, Hailey Block, Megan Block, and Ashley Block. He is further survived by many friends and family members.
Ron is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris; his parents, Edward, and Maxine; and brother, Donald.
