Ronald Douglas Gourley Jovi died on January 7, 2011. He was born on October 24, 1946 in Edmonton Alberta, Canada to Robert and Katherine (nee Jeremy) Gourley. Ron moved with his parents and sister, Phyllis, from Canada to the United States in 1952. Ron lived with his parents in Allen Park, Michigan. In 1979, Ron moved to Cedarburg, Wisconsin. He is survived by his children; daughter Tamaron (Aaron) Van Buren and son Derek (Liz) Burke both of Brighton, Michigan, his sister Phyllis (Charlie) Watkins of Howell, Michigan and nieces and nephew Stephanie (Mark) Hardy, Cami (John) Willey, Aimee Watkins, Lyle (Misty) Watkins. Survived by the wonderful grandchildren; Isabella, Chloe, Sophia, Joey, Olivia, and Emma. Also, many lovely great nieces and nephews. Ron also had a beloved cat named Killer. Ron served our country as an E-4 in the United States Navy. He was a master electrician and although retired continued to work. Ron enjoyed spending time with his friends, bowling, softball, playing pool, and was an avid baseball and football fan. Ron Jovi always had a smile and a joke for his friends even when he was ill. May he rest in peace. Visitation- Wednesday, January 12, 2010 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg from 5:00 to 7:00pm. FuneralService will follow the visitation at 7pm with military honors. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations to the American Cancer Society be made in Rons honor. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
