Rollo E. Eberhardt

Eberhardt, Rollo E., 85 of Thiensville, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010, at The Cedar Lake Community, West Bend. He was born January 19, 1925, on the Eberhardt family farm in the Town of Cedarburg, to the late Ray & Louise (Graefe) Eberhardt. He was united in marriage to Janet Schroeder on May 20, 1961, at Gospel Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, WI. Rollo was proud of his service in the US Marines during World War II, where he served in the Fighting Fourth and saw action on Iwo Jima. After the war he helped on the family farm and then began a long career at American Can in Milwaukee. Besides his work, Rollo was active in the American Legion and at Trinity Lutheran Church, Friestadt. He also was an avid gardener and nurseryman. Rollo is survived by faithful friend Doris Krueger, cousins Judith (Danny) Arndt, Jerry (Marie) Klug and Doris Reetz, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janet and his sister Audrey Eberhardt. A funeral service in honor of Rollo will be held at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Freistadt, 10729 W. Freistadt Rd., Mequon, on Thursday Sept. 9th 12 Noon. Visitation will be at the church 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment Zur Ruhe Cemetery.
