Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Cedarburg Mueller Funeral Home, W63 N527 Hanover Ave at 7:00pm for Rollie Van Borchardt who died surrounded by his family on Friday May 10, 2019 at the age of 76 years old from natural causes. Rev. Mark Larson will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00pm to 6:45pm. Private burial will be at Immanuel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Chosen Inc. 217 Wisconsin Avenue Suite 105 Waukesha, WI 53186 in honor of the foster children in Rollie’s family. Rollie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 17, 1942 to the late Arthur and Helen (nee Vandervort) Borchardt. He was united in marriage to Delores (nee Passint) and they were blessed with 4 children. Rollie has been a resident of Cedarburg since 1968. He was a Master Service Technician since 1962 working on all cars, but primarily Mercedes Benz. He always loved cars whether it was restoring them, building them or even racing them. He would race cars in Cedarburg and Slinger. Rollie would even tinker with golf carts and their motors. His favorite was Harley Davidson golf carts. Actually he would try to fix or improve anything with a motor. Rollie was “Happiest when turning a Wrench”. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and brother. He was very proud of his entire family. Rollie is survived by his children April (Matthew) Sved, Nick (Sandy) and Perry (Renee) Borchardt, grandchildren; Angie (Adam) Schinker, Krista Rauth, Kyle (Jessica) Borchardt, Lizz (Billy) Franklin, Steven Borchardt, Samantha Borchardt and Hayden (Emily) Borchardt, great-grandchildren; Theodore, Kayla and Tyler, twin sister, Rollene Schroeder, his Golden Retriever Max, many good neighbors, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Rollie is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Delores, his son Daniel (who is Nick’s twin), 2 brothers and 1 sister.
