Roger "Moose" Musbach

Roger A. Musbach “Moose”, age 78 of Grafton, passed away peacefully at Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa on Monday, April 9th. Beloved husband to Jackie (nee Geracie) for over 52 years and father to Tracey Schulte, Daniel (Bonnie Dollert) and Michele (Dean) Proefrock. Roger was blessed with 5 dearly loved grandchildren: Ryan, Brianna and Emily Schulte, and Hayden and Elaine Proefrock. Roger is further survived by brothers Donald and Richard (Evonne), sister Mary Frerich, other relatives and countless lifelong friends. Roger was born on January 28, 1940 to Edgar and Mable on their family farm in Grafton. After graduating from Grafton High School in 1958, Roger attended MSOE for several years. Combining his deep interest in engines and his understanding of most things mechanical, Roger opened Moose’s Sales and Service in Grafton in 1960. “Moose’s” was a community fixture in Grafton for close to 50 years, beginning with auto repair and gasoline sales and later becoming a lawn and garden equipment dealership. In later years, “Moose’s” became the gathering spot with many friends for morning coffee, discussions about the Packers, cars, the daily news and occasional holiday celebrations. “Moose’s” was not just a service station. It was a place to go to meet with friends. In his free time, Roger enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his flower garden, hunting with friends and family in northern Wisconsin and an occasional fishing trip to Canada. Roger also spent many hours in his woodworking shop on projects for his home and toys for his grand kids. More than anything, Roger enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Over the years this included many bowling teams, dining out with friends, family vacations, summer cookouts and riding 4-wheelers with his grand kids in the woods near his home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 28th at the Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:45pm. Memorials to the American Lung Association or the Grafton American Legion Post are appreciated.
