Stecker, 84, of Cedarburg, who died on May 4, 2007 at Lasata Care Center. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 10, 2007 4:00 – 7:00 PM with American Legion walk through at 7 PM. Interment with Military Honors will be at Immanuel Cemetery on Friday, immediately following mass. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.muellerfuneralhome.com Robert was born in Neenah, WI on June 29, 1922 the son of the late Edmund and Lillian nee Reimer Stecker. Robert was united in marriage to Erna nee Jaeger on January 20, 1945 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Bob served with the Marines in the South Pacific during World War II. As a tail gunner, he saw action at Bougainville, for which he later received the Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross. Bob was a member of Peter Wollner Post 288 American Legion, Cedarburg, a long time member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. As an avid sportsman, he spent many hours in the field with his dogs and on the water fishing, introducing his children and grandchildren to the outdoors at his favored Pincherry. Robert is survived by his wife Erna; children: Richard Sharon Stecker, Thomas Sherry Stecker and Lori Kevin McKinnon; grandchildren: Theresa, Michelle, Andrew, Scott and Jenna Stecker; Stacy Jared Black and Chris McKinnon; great grandson Dillon; brother Eugene Stecker; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by four brothers: Gerritt, Dudley, Edmund “Junior” and Russel.
