Robert P. Burhop

Bob Burhop passed away on July 4th at the age of 80 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on October 10, 1943 to the late Carl and Arline Burhop (Nee Barth), raised in Mequon and graduated from Cedarburg High School. He married Judy Burhop on May 30, 1964 and moved to Grafton in 1971 where they raised their 2 children. Bob worked at Leeson Electric Corporation for his entire career (starting at Doerr Electric), and retired as a Chief of Mechanical Design.

Bob enjoyed taking trips that included years of camping with friends and family. Sitting around campfires, playing cards and enjoying time with his family were his most cherished times. He loved and adored his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; they were his world. He also loved cars - especially his Chevelle and Corvettes.

Bob was the beloved husband of Judy Burhop for 57 years. Father of his adored children: Brian (Renee) Burhop and Brenda (Randy) Knutson. Loving Grandfather to Grandchildren Brent (Danielle) Burhop, Breanne (Luke) Gahagan, Brendan (Kayla) Burhop, Kailey (Carter) Jenatscheck, Cade (Addie Kubitz) Knutson, and Kinzie (Trenton Palmer) Knutson. Great-Grandfather to his precious Great-Grandchildren Addison Repinski, Jennifer Burhop, Melanie Burhop and Ryder Burhop. Dear brother of sister Kathie (AJ) Mezera and Sandie (Joe) Burhop-Conigliaro. Brother-in-law of the late Rodger Diedrich and John (Jean) Diedrich. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Arline Burhop, sister Darlene Ann Burhop, and parents-in-law Ernst and Hilda Diedrich. Further survived by other loved family and cherished friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 6:00 PM, at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N Green Bay Rd., Grafton. Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, at the funeral home from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM.
