Robert B. Prinz of Cedarburg passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2015. He was born in Milwaukee on July 8, 1918, to Ernest and Hazel (Brown) Prinz. After living in Sturgeon Bay for several years, the family moved to Whitefish Bay where Robert graduated from high school in 1937. Robert joined the National Guard Air Corps in 1941, as a flight engineer and was stationed in Fort Dix, New Jersey. His unit became the 114th Anti -Submarine Patrol and flew missions along the Atlantic coast. After service, he returned to his employment at Western Electric where he retired after forty-three years.He married Roma Wais in 1949. They moved to Cedarburg in 1952 where they raised two daughters.Robert enjoyed tending to his yard, golfing, and stamp collecting, but his real love was restoring Model A Fords.He and Roma traveled extensively in the United States and the world. His biggest thrill was flying over the equator in a hot-air balloon during a trip to Africa. He is survived by Roma, his wife of 65 years, his daughters Janis Busch of Cedarburg and Diane Prinz of Grafton, and two granddaughters, Jennifer of Grafton and Kate of Green Bay. Private services were held.
