Richard R. Chyko, Jr. "Rich" Of Cedarburg. October 27, 2018 at the age of 59 years. Passed away peacefully with family at his side after a hard fought battle with cancer. Loving husband of Joan (nee Hammond) for 27 years. Devoted dad of Nick and Daniel. Beloved son of Richard Sr., and Margaret Chyko. Dear brother of Sue (Mike) Berndt. Adored son-in-law of Laurence and the late Patricia Hammond. Brother-in-law of Edward (Marcia Brooks), Peter (Sarah), Thomas Hammond and the late Laura Farrow. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rich was a steady, strong family man with a big heart and wonderful sense of humor. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and golfing with his two sons and father. He also enjoyed long hikes on the trails with the much loved family dog, Rex. His favorite destination to do these activities was in northern Wisconsin. Rich also took the time to coach many of his sons’ sports teams to stay involved with them, beginning in their early years and all the way through high school. Rich was employed as a sales engineer for 24 years with the Falk Corporation which was eventually acquired by Rexnord Industries. More recently, he was in sales for two years with Martin Sprocket and Gear, Inc. He enjoyed his profession and had a strong work ethic that has been passed down to his sons. He met his future wife, Joan, while studying for a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at UW- Madison. They married in 1991, and after moving around the country, finally settled down in Cedarburg where they have lived for 22 years, raising their sons. His family and friends will miss him tremendously. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:30pm at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd, Cedarburg with visitation at the church on Saturday from 12:00 (Noon) to 2:15pm.
