Richard Hamilton Derrwaldt

Richard was born on May 16, 1930 and died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 of complications of prostate cancer and leukemia. He was the beloved husband and lifelong buddy of Sally nee Schloemilch. Cherished father of Jeanne John Verthein of Brookfield, Ellen Chris Cella of Kirkland, WA., Peter Brook Derrwaldt of Las Vegas, NV, Lisa Windorff of West Bend, WI and Andrew Derrwaldt, West Bend, WI. Adoring grandfather of William, Richard and Michael Verthein, Byron and Jordan Derrwaldt, Katie and Nicole Cella, and Jessica, Rebecca, and T.J. Windorff. Dear great-grandfather of Anthony Little Tony Balistrieri. Brother of the late Philip Derrwaldt. He was a special brother-in-law of Karen Thomas Gracz and Paul Schloemilch and Mynn Lanphier. He will be missed by his golf pals Bob, Tony, and Ray and a host of other friends and relatives. Richard spent his working life in the commercial and home building business as a long time superintendent for MaCon Construction Co. and then operating his own company. Rich enjoyed golf, gardening, and making wine from his own grapes, but most of all he was devoted to his family. He left the world a better place.
