Richard E. “Dick” Juedes

Richard E. “Dick” Juedes, of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the age of 86 years.

Dick was born on June 3, 1938, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Emil F. Juedes and the late Florence (nee Mertz) Juedes. He later graduated from Rufus King High School and went on to work with his father at Emil F. Juedes and Son Trucking. After Dick’s father passed away in 1985, Dick became the sole owner and operator of the business, until he retired in 2000.

Dick was united in marriage to Paula Buss, on October 10, 1964, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Appleton. Dick and Paula relocated to Grafton, in 1968, when they built there one and only home together. He enjoyed working in his yard, golfing, bowling, fishing, and train collecting. One of his many loves was driving around town with dog bones in his pockets, handing them out to the numerous dogs throughout the Grafton area.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Juedes, and sister, Mary (Gene) Olson. He is further survived by nieces and nephews who will remember him as Uncle Koo-Koo or Uncle Kook. other relatives and many friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Carroll (Ron) Plamback and Bette (Walter) Hignite.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, 5:00 PM at Christ Church (13460 N. Port Washington Rd.), Mequon. The family will receive relatives and friends, on Tuesday, at the church, from 3:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated.
