Richard D. Rasmussen

A funeral service will be held on Sunday March 21, 2004 – 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home W63 N527 Hanover Ave. Cedarburg, WI for Richard “DICK” Rasmussen, 79, who died peacefully at Ruth Hospice, Milwaukee on March 15, 2004 after a short battle with Leukemia. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 PM until time of service. Interment will be at Immanuel Cemetery, Cedarburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice appreciated. Rev. Janis Kinnens officiating. Dick was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 29, 1924 the son of the late Everett and Emily nee Erickson Rasmussen. He married Marcy nee Wold on April 29, 1950 at East Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Hancock, MN. Dick worked as an underwriter for Hartford Insurance Co. for 38 years. He then worked for Ansay Insurance for 14 years. He enjoyed fishing, pontooning and gaming. Dick is survived by his wife Marcy of Cedarburg; children Kathy Jim Raymond of Saukville, Sherry James Oberheu of Cedarburg and Bruce Doris Rasmussen of Grafton; grandchildren Peter friend Kris Marshall and Brian Valerie Raymond; Tim and Katie Oberheu; Amy and Anthony Rasmussen; great grandson Antonio Oberheu Gonzalez; other special friends of “grandpa” Tiffany, Keith and Kelli Marshall; brothers Russell and Bernie Shirley; sisters Evelyn Jones and Beverly Leipus. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 2 brothers Ralph and Robert and 2 sisters Beatrice and Ruth.
