Richard A. Bury

Richard (Dick) Bury Born to eternal life on August 25, 2020 at the age of 84. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, WI on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Pastors John Norquist and Michael Wikstrom will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith Lutheran Church or American Heart Association are appreciated. Dick was born on March 14, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Country Day High School, class of 1954. He continued is education at the University of WI-Milwaukee awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1959. Dick married the love of his life, Carol (nee Bell) in 1960. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Dick had a gentle, calm nature that always managed to put people at ease. His honesty and straightforwardness nature made him well respected by loved ones and business associates alike. Dick enjoyed golfing and fishing but his love for learning was known by all. He was an avid reader and would cut articles, save books and share stories of the new things he learned with everyone he met. He loved to talk to people to learn who they were and what life stories they had to share. Dick is survived by his loving wife and “bride” of 60 years, Carol (nee Bell) Bury. Dear father and friend of Scott (Jean) Bury and Lori (Michael) Wikstrom. Further survived by his brother Fred (Mimi) Bury and Sister Marcia (Jim) Hall; Grandchildren Evan Bury, Madison (Barkley) Williams and Ariana Bury and many other family and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his son, Kent Bury.
