Ray A. Johnson

Ray A. Johnson, of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully at the Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg, on January 1, 2008, at the age of 69 years. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2008, 3PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at Grace Lutheran Church from 1-3PM. The Rev. Paul Bulgerin will officiate the funeral service. Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton or the American Cancer Society are appreciated. For online condolences please go to www.muellerfuneralhome.com. Ray was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Harold and the late Elizabeth (nee Locke) Johnson on February 2, 1938. He later married Jane Romadka on November 12, 1966 at the Capitol Drive Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Ray was an active member at Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton for the past 30 years, where he served on many committees and was the past president of their congregation. Ray was also commissioned as a Stephen Minister in 2004, and he was a wonderful caregiver. Ray also enjoyed people contact and was a familiar face in Cedarburg, as he worked at McDonalds and Beyers Hardware Store in Cedarburg. Ray is survived by his wife: Jane of Cedarburg, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Hal Johnson. Ray will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to especially thank the staff on the 400 wing at Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg, for all of their care and compassion.
