Ralph H. Herther Ralph was welcomed home to heaven on October 18, 2019 at the age of 58, at Froedtert Hospital, in Milwaukee. A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at David’s Star Lutheran Church in Jackson, on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 7:00 pm. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral service at David’s Star Lutheran Church from 4:00-6:45 pm. Pastors Michael Woldt and Kurt Loescher will be officiating the service. Ralph was born on December 20, 1960 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington and grew up in Cedarburg. He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1979. Ralph was married on July 9, 1988 to Debra (nee Gaulke) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Christie and Ashley. A lover of the outdoors, Ralph began working at Witte’s Vegetable Farm in high school and continued his work there for 43 years. He also worked at Liesener Soils every winter for 31 years. Ralph greatly enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling. Additionally, he spent his time doing outdoor projects and making his home a beautiful place. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Debra (nee Gaulke) Herther. He is also survived by his two daughters, Christie (Ryan) Shelvik and Ashley Herther. He is further survived by his mother, Sylvia (nee Wendt) Herther and father-in-law, Paul Gaulke. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, David (Linda) Herther, his sister, Nancy (Shane) Kletzien, his brother-in-law, James (Julie) Gaulke, and his sisters-in-law, Barbara (Michael) Schwingel and Sandra (David) Schafer, as well as many other friends and family. Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Harold Herther, his mother-in-law, Shirley (nee Naab) Gaulke, his brother-in-law, Thomas Gaulke, and all of his grandparents.
