Philip M. Toussaint

Philip (Phil) M. Toussaint was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Phil was born November 21, 1942. Son of Willard and Helen (Sandstrom) Toussaint. He left this world on April 24th, 2023 at the age of 80. With his battle of cancer and other health conditions, he fought to the very end, hoping to again play another round of golf.

Phil met his late wife Patricia (Patti) Toussaint while he was a golf pro at Tripoli Country Club. His love of the sport led Patti to become an avid golfer herself, and together they shared and played golf until the very end. Even at the age of 72, Phil was still shooting his age. After playing a round of 18 he’d go and hit some balls in the afternoon.

Phil was also a very talented calligrapher. He did the golf scoreboards for various PGA, JPGA and LPGA tournaments around the country. For many years, Phil worked in the media tent scoreboard at the Greater Milwaukee Open and the John Deere Classic.

He is survived by his beloved daughters Laura, and Angie (Ryan) Dolan, and adoring granddaughters Ava and Isla Dolan. Also survived by fur grandogs Amelia and Tater. He is also enjoying his quick walks with the late Cooper.

He will be missed but we know that he is somewhere where the weather is perfect and he can hit 18 every day and go to the 19th hole afterwards. Thanks to his many friends who knew him as ‘4:00 Phil.’ Hey, it’s 5:00 somewhere Dad. We love and miss you.

Celebration of life for family and friends will be held at Fire Ridge Golf Club on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 pm.
