Peter F. Ballbach

Ballbach, Peter F. 89, of Cedarburg was called to his eternal rest onSeptember 15, 2009 at Cedar Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center.Peter was born in rural Saukville, WI on August 29, 1920 to Michael and Mary(Schottler) Ballbach. He later served our country in the US Armed Forces-Army during WWII in Germany. Pete suffered a significant injury in-the-lineof-duty and returned home. On May 24, 1947 he was united in marriage toLouise Bentz at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Grafton, WI. Together theyraised three children Sandra, James and Robert in Cedarburg.Peter was employed as a machinist at Mercury Marine's Kiekhaefer plant untilretiring in the late 1970's. He also was an ambulance driver for severalyears. Peter was a member of American Legion Post 288 and First ImmanuelLutheran Church, both of Cedarburg. Pete's hobbies included coincollecting, biking and miscellaneous odd jobs in Cedarburg/Grafton.Pete was preceded in death by his parents and his eight siblings: Michael,Theodore, George, Frederich, Marie, Augusta, Hattie and Louise.Known survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Louise, Cedarburg; daughterSandra (Verlyn) Joch, Neenah, WI; son, Robert, at home in Cedarburg; fourgrandchildren Christopher (Lena) Joch, Burlington, WI; Jonathan (Shirley)Joch, Neenah, WI; Ryan (Shelley) Joch, Medina, WI; and, Peter (Mandy) Joch,Appleton, WI, as well as one great-grandchild, Hayden Joch, Appleton, WI.A Christian funeral service for Peter will be held on Friday, Sept. 18 11:30 AM at FirstImmanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, WI with the Rev. Jon Van Sliedrechtpresiding. Committal and burial will follow the church service at Zur RuheCemetery in Cedarburg.The visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10 AM until the timeof service.
