Pearl V. Dickmann

Pearl “Grandma” Dickmann (nee Schroeder) passed away peacefully on November 28, 2014. She was 95 years old. Pearl was born in Saukville on November 22, 1919 to Henry and Hertha Schroeder. She married Anthony (Tony) Dickmann on November 23, 1946. Pearl was an active member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, served communion, assisted at weddings and funerals, and was involved in the Women’s Circle. She created her own group known as the Kachina Girls and led the program for many years. Pearl was also a member of the local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was an avid bird-watcher and enjoyed reading. Pearl loved teaching her family and friends handmade crafts such as baking, sewing, gardening, and many others. Pearl is survived by her children Jerry (Barb) Dickmann, Glenn (Patty) Dickmann, Cheryl (Marvin) Stanley, and Keith (Debbie) Dickmann. She is also survived by her grandchildren Angie, Eric, Jodie, Julie, Stefanie, Jason, Stacy, David, Tanya, Payge, Savannah, Holly, Dustin, and Maggie; she is further survived by 14 great-grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, siblings (Eddie and Evelyn), husband (Tony), son (Earl), and granddaughter (Jamie Beth). Pearl’s loss is not mourned, but her life is celebrated by her family. She lived a long, adventurous and tenacious 95 years, and gave life everything she had. Even in her last moments, she stayed true to who she was - a powerful, independent, and strong-willed woman. We are comforted in knowing she was at peace with her life and that she is ready to face the journey ahead of her. We will love and miss her always. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Grafton Mueller Funeral Home, 979 N. Green Bay Road at 7:00pm with visitation on Tuesday from 5:00pm until the time of services.
