Paul E. Saggio

Paul Saggio Born to eternal life on November 9, 2014 at the age of 68. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton, on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 6:00. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral service at Mueller Funeral Home from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Interment will take place at Immanuel Cemetery, in Cedarburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northern Ozaukee School Scholarship Foundation or Milwaukee Rescue Mission are appreciated. Paul was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 1, 1946 and grew up in Whitefish Bay, WI where he graduated from Dominican High School. He continued his education with an undergraduate degree from Marquette University, teaching certification from Lawrence University and a Master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Peterson, in 1971 and had three wonderful sons. He taught for a short time at St. Joseph’s in Appleton and St. Robert’s in Shorewood. He spent most of his career at Northern Ozaukee Middle School in Fredonia where he taught for more than 25 years. In addition to the usual teaching methods, he relied on personal experiences, stories and even jokes to get a point across. He loved being around students and was a natural educator. Golfing, fishing, hiking, even working in the yard were favorite ways to spend his free time. He was a real “people person” who could talk to anyone. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary (nee Peterson) Saggio. Dear father of Peter, Bryan and Chris and adoring grandfather of Maya and Giovanni. He is further survived by his sister, Mary Saggio and brothers, Charlie, Mike and Mark. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Edna (Hanke) Saggio.
