Patricia Therese “Terry” Wehmann Sullivan July 25, 1936 – July 8, 2018 Patricia Therese “Terry” Wehmann Sullivan, who left a memorable life-long legacy of developing everyone in her path, passed away at the age of 81 at her Grafton, WI residence. Terry was the daughter of the late Gilbert Wehmann (Rachel) and Vera Morgan Wehmann. Her brother, G. Donald Wehmann, predeceased her in July 2009. Terry was born in Oceanside, New York and was raised in East Rockaway, New York. Through her exceptional talent and passion for many sports, she will be remembered for changing lives as an exceptional coach, teacher and mentor for her children and students. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Skidmore and Master’s degree from Syracuse University, before becoming a physical education teacher in several regions of New York. Upon moving to Mequon, Wisconsin in 1971, Terry began her career in real estate sales, soon becoming nationally recognized as one of the first female trainers in the nation and President of the Women’s Council of Realtors, which at the time was the nation’s largest women’s business organization. Terry was married to Richard “Dick” Sullivan from 1957 through 1983. Many families still remember the special impact she made with their children through her home swimming business, where during the 1970’s and 1980’s she and her children taught over 1500 children and adults to swim. With Terry, it was all about making a difference in the lives of others. In the 1990’s Terry traveled across the country teaching leadership and Public Speaking, with a focus on helping others successfully launch their real estate careers. Terry was at her best when she was helping others to improve either their physical or professional skills. Terry had a vibrant personality, with a memorable and contagious positive attitude. She not only dreamed big, but found a way to accomplish what she set out to do. Her life of believing and achieving, left the ultimate ever-lasting legacy to her children, friends and colleges. Survivors include Katherine Sullivan (James Klump) of Amsterdam, New York, Gillian Sullivan Chamberlin (Steven) of Mequon, Wisconsin and Adam Wehmann Sullivan of Lyme, New Hampshire. Terry was the proud “Gran Ter” of Carter Irvin (Elizabeth), Christopher and Connor Sullivan-Irwin, Ryan Stewart (Natalie), Andrew Stewart and Meg Stewart. Terry also leaves her longtime best friend Margaret O’Leary. MEMORIAL – A reception celebrating Terry’s life will be held on July 22, 12:30 to 2 pm, at North Shore Congregational Church, 7330 North Santa Monica Blvd, Fox Point WI, 53217.
