Patricia “Patty” Arrowood unexpectedly passed away on April 25, 2023 at the age of 47. Patty was born August 28, 1975 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. to her beloved parents: Luis M. Belmontes and AnaMaria Belmontes. Patty spent most of her life living in Milwaukee and in Grafton.
Patty enjoyed many things but gardening was a major hobby. She was always so proud of all the vegetables she grew, especially her peppers! Everyone loved the fresh homemade salsa Patty made and occasionally shared samples in small jars. Patty built her own raised garden bed in the backyard, along with a small nursery in the basement to seed until they were ready to be transferred outside. Patty was dedicated and whatever she put her mind into, she was always able to get things done. Everything from car issues, wood work, plumbing troubles, installing something, heavy lifting, or anything asked of her, she was truly a jack of all trades. At times when Patty would be challenged or doubted by others about a task; she was absolutely ready to prove you wrong. More importantly, Patty loved spending time with her family and friends whether it was hanging out, a cookout, camping with the kids, being outside with everyone, taking her weekend trips to Chicago, or even driving around seeing where the van took her just to get out of the house some days.
There isn’t a person that was more loving, compassionate, understanding, or patient than Patty was. Patty was known to have a firecracker mentality, as everyone close to her knew she didn’t tolerate nonsense, was blunt, and kept positive with straight talk. She didn’t have a filter, but she always made friends with everyone she talked to. People gravitate towards Patty because she was so open, honest, and easy going. Your first ever conversation with her would make you feel as if you were friends. She was wise beyond her years and always lent an ear to family and friends in need.
Shortly before her passing, she was privileged by welcoming her first grandchild (baby Lucca) to the world. Patty was immediately attached to him and affectionately referred to baby Lucca as “my baby”. Patty was known to be a fierce mother, protective of her children, and kept her family safe. Patty was a true lioness leading the pride, the rock of our world, the matriarch of our family.
Patty had a way of reaching into our hearts, and we will forever miss her. Her strength, her smile, her absolute dedication to her family are traits we hope to carry on with us. Her kindness and care permeate through each of us. It has been said that "a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle", and we are sure that thousands of candles will be lit soon. Patty, you are forever in our hearts, forever with us, and thank you for forever being with us. Until we meet again.
Patty is survived by her husband married 11 years Wesley Allen Arrowood, parents Luis M. Belmontes, AnaMaria Belmontes, children Keith Brian Garcia (30), Brianna Teresa Garcia (27), Joshua Eric Garcia (21), Wesley Allen Arrowood Jr. (8), Angelina Nicole Arrowood (6), daughter-in-law Amanda Garcia, granddaughter Kylie Pirwitz, and grandson Lucca Valentin Garcia.
