Patricia J. Gaylord

Patricia J. Gaylord of Woodstock, passed away on October 15, 2009 in Grafton, Wisconsin, at the age of 84 years. She was born on August 20, 1925, in Woodstock, to the late Charles M. Kennedy and the late Leonie E. (nee Zimplemann) Kennedy. She later married the love of her life, Robert L. Gaylord, on August 9, 1947, and their marriage was blessed with three daughters. Patricia worked as a waitress at the V.F.W. Post 5040 in Woodstock, for many years and continued volunteering at the Post after she retired. Patricia enjoyed spending her many years at the Post, but Patricias true love was spending time with her loving family. She is survived by her loving children, Kim (Mark) Meisinger, Leigh (Carmello) Raffaele, and Jill (Fred) Gaylord, dear grandchildren, Erica and Dominic Raffaele, sister, Jane A. Dahm, and sisters-in-law, Robin Kennedy and Lou Kennedy. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend, Robert L. Gaylord, her parents, Charles M. and Leonie E. Kennedy, and brothers, Frank L. Kennedy and John C. Kennedy. A graveside committal service will take place at 1PM on Sunday, October, 25, 2009, at the Oakland Cemetery (14307 Kishwaukee Valley Rd.), Woodstock. A memorial tribute in memory of Patricia will take place immediately following the graveside service at the VFW Post 5040 (240 Throop St.), Woodstock, with a luncheon to follow.
