Patricia A. "Pat" Buhrow

Patricia A. “Pat” Buhrow passed away, on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Lawlis Family Hospice, in Mequon, at the age of 70 years. Pat was born on May 17, 1946, in Port Washington, the daughter of the late Frank Fischer and the late Annabelle (nee Koepsel) Fischer-Riffler. She was united in marriage to David Buhrow, on August 15, 1964, at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg. Together their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Christina and Marybeth. Pat worked as the head bookkeeper at Red Owl, in Cedarburg, and after the store was closed, she went on to work at Piggly Wiggly. She was a faithful employee, working for over 40 years between the two stores. Pat was also a longtime member at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg. After her husband David passed away in 1988, and Pat’s retirement, she volunteered her time helping with the school lunches and various other activities at First Immanuel. Pat was also an avid backyard bird watcher during that time as well. Pat is survived by her daughters, Christina (Dave) Balister and Marybeth Buhrow, her grandson, Alex Balister, siblings, Kathy “Cookie” (Jeff) Kroenke, Tom “Moose” (Ruth) Fischer, Marlene Smith, Cindy Duke, and Donald “Putzer” Riffler; and sister-in-law, Audrey Fischer. She is further survived by her special friend, Audrey Pelzer, her Piggly Wiggly family, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, David Buhrow, brother, Ken Fischer, and longtime partner, Jim Scherf. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, 1PM at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, in Cedarburg. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, prior to the service, from 11AM until 12:45PM. The Rev. Tim Seban will officiate the funeral services. Pat will be laid to rest at Immanuel Cemetery, in Cedarburg, next to her late husband, David Buhrow. Memorials of your choice are appreciated.
