A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011, at 2PM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, for Olga Woelky (nee Erdmann) of Mequon, who died on July 2, 2011, at the age of 103 years. Visitation will be held at the church on from 12Noon until time of service. Interment Zur Ruhe Cemetery, Cedarburg. Rev. Randy Raasch will officiate the service. Memorials to the First Immanuel Lutheran Guardian Angel Program appreciated. Olga was born in Ost Preussen, Germany, on May 1, 1908, the daughter of Hulda Erdmann. She left Germany and came to America on her own at the age of 17. Olga married Elmer Woelky on December 31, 1947. Olga was one of the first machinists in Milwaukee, and an article was written up by the Milwaukee Journal giving her this recognition at the time. She later workedat Stemmlers White Coach, Club Forest and The Edge oTown. Olga mainly loved her family and her Lord. At 103, she was the oldest member of First Immanuel. Olga was a long time member of First Immanuel's Ladies Aid.She enjoyed knitting little dish cloths even at this age. Olga spent many months with her son and wife in California. Determined to live in her home as long as she could, Olga lived on the family farmstead until this January. Olga is survived by her children Edith (Dudley) Neman of Mequon, Harold (Becky) Happel of Watsonville CA, Ellen (Mike) Kelly of San Juan Capistrano CA and Elmer Jr. (Becky) Woelky of Mequon; grandchildren Gary (Pam) Wetzel III, Dean (Michelle) Happel, Dawn Happel, Nancy (Ivan) Molina, Elizabeth (David) Goltz, Brian Kelly, Matthew Kelly, Chris (Amy) Woelky, Jenny (Bob) Dalton, Andrew Woelky and Austin Woelky; great-grandchildren Michael Woelky, Matthew Woelky, Logan Dalton, Samuel Dalton, Maxx Happel, Lance Molina, Annabella Molina and Madison Goltz; sister Adeline Bent of Lakeland FL; sister-in-law Helen Behnke of Great Falls MT; other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother Kurt Behnke and brother-in-law Roland Bent. Memorials: Memorials to the First Immanuel Lutheran Guardian Angel Program appreciated.
