Norman E. Callies

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 5:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church 606 Forest Ave. Fond du Lac, for Norman E. Callies, 86, of Fond du Lac who died on June 11, 2010 at Hospice Home of Hope. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 3 PM until time of service and also at Mueller Funeral Home Cedarburg on Wed. June 16 from 10 11 AM with burial immediately following at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac or Redeemer Lutheran Church Fond du Lac. Norman was born in Theresa, WI on December 11, 1923 the son of the late Hubert and Alma (nee Musack) Callies. Norman was married to the late Shirley (nee Koopmann). Norman served his country in the United States Navy; worked for Mercury Marine for 30 plus years; volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital for 22 plus years; was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He mostly enjoyed helping anyone he could and loved to make people smile. Norman is survived by his children: Robert (Jennifer) Callies and Debra Callies; Brothers: Alvin Callies and Martin (Doris) Callies; Sister Elvira Keup; Sister-in-law Myrtle Callies; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Norman was preceded in death by two brothers Clarence and Raymond. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac or Redeemer Lutheran Church Fond du Lac.
