Neil Forcey

Neil Forcey of Cedarburg passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2017 at the age of 83. His family is heartbroken by his sudden death. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Gagne). Dear father of Daniel (Loren), Thomas (Marilyn), Susan Morgan, Kathleen (James) Ziarek, and the late Richard. Dear grandfather of Peter (fiancée Jaclyn) Forcey, Andrea (Andy Holzwarth) Forcey and Kathryn (Alex) Johnson. Further survived by other family and friends. Neil was born and grew up in Niagara, WI, the son of Jerome and Evelyn (nee Olive) Forcey. He was the fourth of six children, all of whom proceeded him in death. After graduating from Niagara High School, he moved to the Milwaukee area and was employed at American Can Company for 35 years until his retirement. Neil and Mary were married in 1953 in Powers, MI. In 1957, they moved to Cedarburg and have been residents ever since. Neil was active and hard working all his life, right up to his final day. He was mechanically inclined and always seemed able to fix almost anything. He made countless friends over his sixty years in the Cedarburg area by helping so many, especially seniors, with home projects, grass cutting and snow blowing. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was so proud of his garden. He also had an avid interest in family history and genealogy. Neil was a kind and generous husband, father and grandfather who could be depended on to help with any project, or offer advice and support when times got tough. We learned so much from him over the years and will sadly miss him in the future. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
