Michael "Mike" T. Jones,

Peacefully passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 75. Mike was born on January 12, 1949, and is now reunited in heaven with his father Alva Murray Jones, mother Kathleen (nee Tracy), brother Patrick Jones, sister Susan Troy, and dog pals: Annie, Izzie and Porter. Mike is survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years Deborah, daughter Hayley, granddaughter Riley, sister Christine (Steve) Olsen, sister-in-law Judy Jones, nieces, nephews, and close friends and family who will miss him so much.

Mike’s greatest joy was his family, whom he was so proud of. The energy that he put into being the best dad will continue to shine through Hayley, who is so grateful for how strong he raised her to be. Mike’s presence in Riley’s life will forever be cherished by her memories of her Bopa.

Being a true sports fan, Mike’s participation in football, baseball and basketball began in his youth and carried on throughout his life, and he also dedicated many hours coaching and refereeing youth football and basketball. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps, was a successful businessman, avid reader and music lover, outdoor enthusiast, lover of nature and all animals, especially dogs, a road tripper, who so enjoyed the family vacations in Door County, and watching Ephraim sunsets while enjoying a Miller High Life!

Mike will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom and ability to always give the best advice, his courage, strength, good nature, sense of humor, and ability to make friends wherever he went.

Respecting Mike’s wishes, there will not be a funeral. A private gathering will be held at a future date. Memorials if desired, to any Humane Society or MADACC.
