Merle Mae Leon

Merle Mae (Wolter) Leon passed away on March 25, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Survived by her beloved husband of 66 years Roverto (Bob) Leon, Loving mother of Cynthia (Leon) Sladky & husband James, Christine (Leon) Tracy, Robert Leon & wife Wendy, Rick Leon & Cheryl (Leon) Stecker & husband Michael and 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one more great grandchild on the way. Merle was a long time resident of Cedarburg, WI for 62 years. Her and her husband were dedicated members of the St. Francis Borgia-South Church since 1956. Involved with Knights of Columbus, volunteering for many church activities and functions. Also volunteered for Grafton Food Pantry, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and many other functions in Cedarburg. Member of the American Legion - Axillary. Worked at Tecumseh Products Grafton, WI for 22years. Merle enjoyed card clubs, fishing, Red Hat Society, travel, theater, playing games and loved playing slot machines around Wisconsin, Iowa and Las Vegas. Merle and her beloved husband Bob enjoyed dancing in their earlier years. Merle is best known as the Cookie Lady, making over a 100 different kinds of cookies and candy at Christmas. She is also well known for taking her cooking to the next level for all parties and functions, especially Mexican Food taught to her by her beloved Mother-In-Law. Most important to her was her family, always making every holiday and birthday special for every member of our family. She has always been the heart of our family and will be truly missed. Her wonderful spirit will be with us forever. Memorial service will be Friday April 6, 2018 at St. Francis Borgia-South, in Cedarburg, Visitation 4-6pm, Service at 6pm.
