Max L. Ruffert, Of Grafton, passed away peacefully at Watertown Regional Medical Center on Thursday, April 26, 2012 age 88. Max was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 11, 1923 the son of the late Max L. and Vera (nee Weber) Ruffert. Max was united in marriage to his late wife LaVerne on May 3, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI. Max was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Navy and achieved a lifetime membership of the Rose Harms American Legion Post #355 Grafton. Max enjoyed restoring old cars with his son Gary. Max is survived by his children: Gail (Dennis) Mudler and Gary (Linda) Ruffert; grandchildren: Kim (Dan) Rahfaldt, Bob (Jenny) Mudler, Kelly (Ben) Croatt and Courtney (Jimmy) Ingman; great grandchildren Dylan, Amanda, Ellie and Joey. Max is further survived by one brother: Jack (Betty) Ruffert, sister-in-law Marian Ruffert, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Max was preceded in death by his wife LaVerne; and brothers: Donald, Herbert and Marvin. Memorial and American Legion Service at the Mueller Funeral Home – Grafton on Wed. May 2, 5:00 PM. Inurnment St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton. Family will receive friends on Wed. from 3:00 PM – 4:45 PM. Memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, or American Heart Association are appreciated.
