Mary T. Bloomquist

Mary Taillon Bloomquist, daughter of the late Margaret and John Taillon, passed away on August 13, 2018. She passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 75. Mary is survived by her three children Julie Doman (Kurt), Laura Kavanaugh (Thomas), Andrew Bloomquist, her six grandchildren Hannah, Matthew, Emilia, Thomas William, Sean and Kiera and brother, John Timothy Taillon (Kathleen). Mary was born July 19, 1943 in Glens Falls, NY. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy High School, class of 1961. She continued her undergraduate education at Marymount University in Tarrytown, NY then received her Master’s degree at Oberlin College in Ohio. Mary had many talents, including golf and piano as a young girl to quilting, research and literature. While she taught English for several years, Mary’s passion for learning extended well outside of the classroom as a Girl Scout leader and SAT prep tutor. Mary loved genealogy and ancestry. She not only researched her own family but enjoyed researching other friends’ families, much to their delight. Mary was an incredible woman, and her family will miss her thoughtfulness, loyalty, and kindness. She loved spending time with family. “Nana” was always her grandchildren’s biggest fan. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at Mueller Funeral Home (W63 N527 Hanover Ave. Cedarburg, WI 53012) on Friday August 17, 2018. A visitation will be held from 2 - 4p.m. immediately followed by a memorial service.
